I have always enjoyed designing glasses, cups and all kinds of drinking containers. The reason for this is probably how cozy and relaxing I find it to sit down with a beautiful cup and slake my thirst. It doesn´t matter what your cup contains, coffee, tee, water or wine, it is always refreshing to sit down and enjoy this everyday activity and smell the aroma of your drink, feel the cup in your hand and explore it's features and colors, relish the taste and experience the effect.

My favorite cup is the one I designed for an exhibition held at the Nordic embassy in Berlin. The theme was exotic artifacts and communication between elves and men in Icelandic myths. I designed two versions of the cup; one for left-handed people and one for right-handed people. A spell follows the cups: Those who drink of the left-handed cup experience an increase in creativity and insight and a heightened sense of perception. Those who drink of the right-handed cup experience an increase in their ability to organize. This corresponds to the interaction cerebral hemispheres.
